Rankmio method

Persona service

Also known as: Brand persona, Writing persona, Voice profile

The persona service is Rankmio's answer to the "all AI texts sound the same" problem. For each project, brand documents are loaded into a library — pitch decks, brand guidelines, sample articles, style guides. From these, the service extracts the essential brand voice characteristics: tone, favourite phrases, typical patterns of argument, specialist vocabulary. In every AI generation this brand context is passed along as a persona instruction, so that the output remains consistent in the brand's voice.

How the persona service feeds in

Example brand documents

Rule of thumb: better 5 very typical documents than 50 poor ones. Quality over quantity.

Persona vs. brief instructions

An important point of architecture: the persona service supplies the voice, the brief instructions supply the structure. The two complement each other. A brief says: "Write a 1,500-word article on X with H2 question-and-answer headings." The persona adds: "in our typical tone — matter-of-fact, direct, with examples from the B2B SaaS context, without buzzwords, with clear recommended actions at the end."

Example from practice

Example: A marketing agency looks after 6 clients in different industries. Each client has its own library with 4–6 brand documents. AI-generated articles sound consistently different for each client: the SaaS client concise and sober, the B2C lifestyle brand playful and emotional, the B2B consultancy authoritative and fact-based. The classic advantage: editors do not have to manually "bring every AI text into the client's tone" — it already comes out of the generator with the right sound.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Rankmio persona service?
The persona service controls tone, technical depth and audience address in the Content Studio. Predefined personas (SEO manager, solo blogger, e-commerce owner) plus your own personas. Content is tailored to the chosen target audience.
How do you create your own persona?
Via the persona editor with six fields: target role, level of expertise, tone of language, no-go words, sample text, obligatory formulations. These specifications are passed to the AI model with every content generation.
Why are personas important for content?
For consistency and fidelity to the target audience. Without a persona, the AI writes generically. With a persona, every article is produced in the same style, at the same technical level and in the same tone. Important for scaling with several authors or content batches.
Can you have several personas per project?
Yes, per content section or target audience. A SaaS project can have a "developer" persona for technical documentation and a "marketing manager" persona for landing pages. Each piece of content creation selects the appropriate persona.
